Maisie Peters’ European tour gets off to a strong start in Belgium

On February 13, British pop star and singer-songwriter Maisie Peters kicked off the European part of her “The Good Witch Tour” in Ghent. She amazed the audience with her talent and charm. After opening stadium shows around the world for Ed Sheeran’s “Mathematics Tour”, she is now on her own biggest tour to date. Unlike her debut album “You Signed Up for This”, which mainly focused on heartbreak, “The Good Witch” is an album that is mainly about personal growth. With her sassy lyrics, a touch of irony and self-mockery, she sings about her experiences and feelings.

Before the concert, Maisie Peters offered an exclusive VIP session for a select audience. Suddenly she appeared on stage in everyday clothes, and her down-to-earth attitude made an immediate impression. With a wink, she broke the ice by saying: ‘As you can see, I have a new sweater in my rotation. From now on I will wear this during every pre-show of the European tour to keep the tradition alive.’ During this intimate set, she sang acoustic songs that were not on the official setlist. Additionally, fans could request song requests and ask questions. As the icing on the cake, she ended the VIP experience by having her picture taken with her fans. An unforgettable moment for the lucky attendees!

Maisie Peters is a true entertainer who feels completely at home on stage. The singer-songwriter has a strong bond with her fans, which is evident through her interaction with the audience. She has a sharp sense of humour. She said about the new setlist: ‘My lyrics contain so many words. You’d think I could easily remember them all since I’m the one who wrote them, but nothing could be further from the truth. So if you guys know the lyrics, please sing along and sing LOUD.’ The fans were involved in every song and the volume seriously increased.

The setlist had something for everyone: a mix of audience interaction, extended band performances and more intimate acoustic numbers with just Maisie and her guitar. The crowd went crazy when the British performed her hit single “Cate’s Brother”. The singer shared the stage with her bandmates Tina, Joel, and Jack. The strong connection between the group of friends was visible during the song “The Band and I”, a nostalgic song that looks back on adventures they shared during their first tour together. Maisie Peters has a unique voice, an original style and a great personality. She shows that she is not only a talented singer-songwriter but also an artist who knows how to enchant her audience.
