W.A.S.P. extends ‘1984 To Headless’ 2026 tour
W.A.S.P. has announced ten European shows as part of the “1984 To Headless” 2026 tour, a run dedicated to the band’s first four albums. The concept focuses on selected material from their early catalogue, which will be performed live in a theatrical stage production designed to bring the era’s album imagery to life.
The band explains that the shows will combine music and visual spectacle in a way they have never attempted before, with the stage design reflecting the artwork of their classic records. The production is described as a one-time celebration of the group’s early legacy, intended to recreate the energy and impact of those formative years.
Frontman Blackie Lawless says, “It’s hard to express the genuine excitement I’m feeling in describing the ‘1984 To Headless’ tour. Playing those songs from those first four albums in a combined package like this is something we’ve never attempted before. In addition to the songs, the entire stage show will look like the album covers from those records will come alive right before your eyes. Complete with all the history and bombastic live presentations, this band has made it one of the great live bands in the theatrical rock world. When elements of those album covers start to come alive, right on the stage before the people, it’s gonna be something they’ll not soon forget.”
W.A.S.P. built its reputation in the mid 1980s with a provocative and theatrical approach to rock music. The band quickly became known for its controversial image and intense live performances, which led to both international attention and restrictions in certain regions.
Blackie Lawless has led the band since its formation as lead vocalist and primary songwriter, shaping its sound and visual identity. Over the years, the group has developed a strong legacy built on sold-out tours and a distinctive blend of shock rock and social commentary.
The band’s early impact began with its self-titled debut album, followed by “The Last Command”, “Inside the Electric Circus” and “The Headless Children”. These records established W.A.S.P. as a major force in rock history, combining aggressive sound with elaborate stage presentation.
Their reputation over four decades has been defined by controversy, high-energy performances and a global fan base that continues to follow the band’s evolution.
