“Violence” is the latest release from their upcoming album “The Fallout,” which will be released on January 23 via Mascot Records.

About the collaboration, Josh says: “When we wrote ‘Violence,’ we immediately knew it would be amazing to have a strong female voice on the track – someone who could truly show the two sides and emotions of the song. When we heard that Beth was interested, it was just perfect. Her energetic pop-punk vocals take the song to a new level. She absolutely nailed it – on the track and in the video.”

The song explores the idea of a toxic relationship between two people who cannot let go, based on Josh’s personal experiences. “It’s a love story without a clear ‘bad guy,'” Josh explains. “Two people desperately trying to save something that’s long gone. The pain, the disappointment, the manipulation – they mistake it for love. And that’s exactly why they can’t let each other go.”

“Violence” follows their previous single “Easier to Die,” a track about losing hope while chasing success and slipping into negative thoughts.

With “The Fallout,” the band shows their most honest side. “Every song shows something of what I feel inside,” Josh says. “How it comes through in my daily life, my relationships, and as the frontman of The Hara, with all the chaos that comes with it. I’m still learning to deal with my mental health more healthily, but sometimes it’s easier to break yourself than to face the unknown. And that’s ‘The Fallout’ – that moment of struggle between breaking and carrying on.”

The Manchester trio – singer Josh Taylor, drummer Jack Kennedy, and guitarist Zack Breen – make music straight from the heart. Their songs are built for the stage, and The Hara truly comes alive in live performances.

With their mix of alternative rock, metalcore, and emo, they have already made a name for themselves. They have supported Sum 41, Nothing More, Escape the Fate, and Ice Nine Kills, and impressed at festivals such as Download, Slam Dunk, 2000 Trees, Kendal Calling, TRNSMT, Tramlines, Truck, Boomtown Fair – and not least on the main stage at Reading and Leeds Festival.

About the deeper meaning of the album, Josh says: “I’ve struggled for a long time with self-acceptance and how I talk to myself. As I get older, I realise it’s something that’s been going on for years. I’ve found ways to ignore it or protect myself, but that only made it worse. It’s been a journey to be able to say it out loud without feeling guilty. I always thought my mental health wasn’t ‘that bad,’ so I kept everything inside – which of course didn’t help. With this album, I want to reach people who feel something similar and show them they are not alone. That they can show who they are and what they feel without shame.”

“This album is probably the most honest and raw version of ourselves,” Josh adds. “Musically and lyrically, it feels the most real. This is who we are.”
