Wolfmother announce major European summer tour
Wolfmother, the Australian rock band led by the charismatic singer and guitarist Andrew Stockdale, has secured an important place in rock history over the past 20 years. The band was founded in 2000 in Sydney and has since captivated countless fans worldwide with their distinctive mix of hard rock and psychedelic influences.
Their debut album, ‘Wolfmother,’ released in 2005, features the iconic hit ‘Joker and The Thief.’ This song, with its unforgettable riff, has been heard in numerous films, series, and popular commercials, bringing the band worldwide recognition. Other well-known tracks from the album include ‘Woman’ and ‘Mind’s Eye,’ which also received much acclaim from critics and fans.
Wolfmother has undergone several lineup changes, but Andrew Stockdale has always remained the constant center of the band. His energetic stage presence and impressive guitar skills are defining elements of Wolfmother’s sound. In 2009, they released their second album ‘Cosmic Egg,’ followed by ‘New Crown’ in 2014, ‘Victorious’ in 2016, and ‘Rock’n’Roll Baby’ in 2019. Each album showed growth and evolution in their musical style, yet remained true to the powerful rock foundation that originally made them famous.
In addition to their studio albums, Wolfmother is known for their intense live performances. The band has played at many major festivals, including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and the Reading and Leeds Festival. Their shows are characterized by raw energy and an immersive atmosphere, with Stockdale’s charisma and musicianship always at the forefront.
European Summer Tour 2024
Now, the trio is ready to cross the Indian Ocean once again for an extensive summer tour, with 37 shows in 15 European countries. This long-awaited tour, which will light up the summer of 2024.
