Kygo announces European tour

Today, superstar, producer, and DJ Kygo announced the first part of his world tour, which will take him through North America, Europe, and Great Britain in 2024. The tour, consisting of 26 dates, is produced by Live Nation and kicks off on Saturday, September 7 in Commerce City, CO at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park, with stops in Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, London, and more. Kygo will conclude his tour on Friday, December 13 in Ireland, at the 3Arena in Dublin. The concerts are part of the Kygo World Tour.

Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, better known by his stage name Kygo, was born on September 11, 1991, in Singapore. He grew up in Bergen, Norway, where he showed an interest in music at a young age. At the age of seven, he began playing the piano and quickly developed a passion for music. Kygo’s breakthrough came in 2013 when he released his remix of Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire”. This remix quickly went viral and brought Kygo to the attention of a global audience, establishing his reputation as a pioneer of tropical house music. In 2014, Kygo released his debut single “Firestone,” which became an international hit, further increasing his fame. The success of “Firestone” led to Kygo being invited to perform at major festivals and events worldwide.

Kygo’s distinctive sound is characterized by the use of tropical and summery melodies, combined with deep house beats and infectious rhythms. His music is often associated with creating a relaxed and carefree atmosphere. In addition to his music, Kygo has collaborated with numerous other artists, including Selena Gomez, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, and Imagine Dragons. He has also remixed songs for renowned artists such as Coldplay, The Weeknd, and Maroon 5.

As the best-selling artist of concerts in dance music, part one of Kygo’s shows in 2024 marks his first tour since 2018. These shows feature his signature piano, as well as strings, vocalists, and drummers. Special guests SOFI TUKKER, GRYFFIN, Sam Feldt, Zara Larsson, Klangkarussell, Hayla, Victoria Nadine, and Vandelux will join him on various dates. The Kygo World Tour offers performances at iconic venues worldwide, including the Los Angeles Hollywood Bowl, Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and a show in his hometown Oslo at the Telenor Arena in Norway.

The announcement of the world tour follows the release of Kygo’s new single, “For Life” ft. Zak Abel & Nile Rodgers, last week.
