Northern California Punky Alt-Rock Trio StrateJacket Share “Be My Drug”

Northern California alt-rock/pop punk trio StrateJacket is making waves with their debut EP, set to drop on May 10, 2024 via EDGEOUT.

Comprised of Jackson Roemers (vocals/guitar), Fabian Angel (vocals/bass), and Nate Mangold (drums), StrateJacket isn’t afraid to bring the energy. Their sound blends shout-along anthems like “Bad Start” with the catchy melodies of “Be My Drug,” both infused with dark humour and a raw, stripped-down aesthetic.

“We want to be a response to the overproduced music out there,” says Roemers. “We bring the energy the Bay Area punk and alternative scenes are known for.”

The band delves deeper into tracks like “Living A Lie” and “Cut the Cord,” exploring themes of self-discovery and vulnerability. The EP closes with “Torch,” a midtempo rocker that showcases StrateJacket’s versatility.

Recorded with acclaimed producer Brian Howes and mixed by Grammy® winner Chris Lord-Alge, StrateJacket’s debut is a potent blend of raw energy and catchy songwriting.
