The Pretenders, Jessie J, S Club, Nathalie Imbruglia and more joined the Isle of Wight festival lineup

Jessie J, Natalie Imbruglia, The Pretenders, Johnny Marr, S Club, Feeder, Cian Ducrot, Tom Meighan, Caity Baser and Wunderhorse. These incredible acts are the latest additions to the 2024 line-up of the famous Isle of Wight Festival.

These will join the previously announced headliners including legendary English electronic group The Prodigy, who have been entertaining crowds with their iconic electronic anthems for over three decades; Pet Shop Boys, headlining the Main Stage on Saturday night, with “DREAMWORLD The Greatest Hits Live”; and American rock heroes and one of the world’s biggest-selling artists Green Day, who will close the Festival’s Main Stage on Sunday night in a UK festival exclusive.

The Isle of Wight Festival, nestled on the picturesque Isle of Wight just off the southern coast of England, stands as a testament to the enduring allure of live music. Since its inception in 1968, the festival has evolved into an iconic event that not only showcases world-class musical talent but also encapsulates the free-spirited essence of the island itself.

The inaugural Isle of Wight Festival took place in 1968 and featured a lineup that included legendary acts like Jefferson Airplane, The Who, and Bob Dylan. This historic event set the stage for what would become a recurring gathering of music enthusiasts from across the globe. The 1970 edition, often regarded as one of the largest music festivals of its time, attracted an estimated 600,000 attendees.

In the modern era, the Isle of Wight Festival continues to be a major highlight on the UK’s festival calendar. Held annually in June, it draws a diverse audience, catering to music lovers of all ages. The festival grounds, located at Seaclose Park in Newport, transform into a vibrant hub of creativity and cultural exchange.

One of the festival’s key attractions is its diverse musical lineup, spanning genres from rock and pop to indie and electronic dance music. Iconic artists as well as emerging talents grace the stages, providing a dynamic and inclusive musical experience. Recent editions have featured headliners like The Killers, Depeche Mode, and Liam Gallagher, ensuring a mix of classic and contemporary sounds.

The 2024 Festival will also host incredible performances from acts including Scouting For Girls, Suede, Jo Whiley’s 90s Anthems, The Streets, Keane, Simple Minds, Beverley Knight, Zara Larsson, Jake Shears, Dagny, McFly, The Bootleg Beatles, Picture This, Blossoms, Nothing But Thieves, Crowded House, The Darkness, Toyah & Robert Fripp, Rick Parfitt Jnr & The RPJ Band, The Mary Wallopers and The K’s.
