Jean-Michel Jarre Announces “Oxygene & Beyond” World Tour for 2027
Jean-Michel Jarre has announced his new international tour, “Oxygene & Beyond”, which will begin in Europe in autumn 2027. The tour will celebrate the 50th anniversary of his groundbreaking album “Oxygene” and feature music from his forthcoming new album, due for release in spring 2027.
With “Oxygene & Beyond”, Jarre promises an immersive journey through his musical universe, bringing together the past, present and future. The performances will celebrate five decades of electronic music history while exploring new sonic territories and innovative audiovisual experiences.
The first European leg will visit cities across Poland, Romania, Hungary, Germany, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, the United Kingdom and Spain. The schedule includes multiple performances in Amsterdam and Paris, as well as concerts in Katowice, Łódź, Gdańsk, Cluj, Budapest, Berlin, Prague, Brussels, London, Manchester and Barcelona. The tour will continue worldwide in 2028.
Jarre is currently working on a new album, with further details to be announced in due course. Some of the new material will receive its live debut during the “Oxygene & Beyond” tour.
The tour coincides with the 50th anniversary of “Oxygene”, the landmark album that helped bring electronic music to a global audience. On 20 November, BMG will release a special anniversary edition featuring a new 2026 stereo remaster, immersive Dolby Atmos and 5.1 mixes, and bonus material.
On 5 November, Jarre will also publish “Machines by Jean-Michel Jarre: A History of Electronic Music” through Thames & Hudson. The book explores the past, present and future of electronic music, tracing a century of sonic experimentation, from analogue synthesis and the digital revolution to immersive multimedia and AI-assisted creation, drawing on one of the world’s most significant private collections of electronic and electro-acoustic instruments.
