Oasis returns: monster Live ’27 tour with 34 stadium shows announced
The rumour had been doing the rounds for months, but today it is official: Oasis are heading back around the world in 2027. Under the name Oasis Live ’27, the Manchester band will play a series of 34 stadium concerts, spread across Europe, North America and Ireland. The tour follows on from the much-talked-about reunion tour of 2025 and confirms that Liam and Noel Gallagher have finally put their feud behind them.
From Glasgow to Las Vegas
The tour kicks off on 21 May 2027 in Glasgow and then travels across Europe, with stops including Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris and Rome. After that comes a North American leg with shows in Boston and Las Vegas, before the band returns to Europe for performances in Ireland and a closing run in Knebworth, the venue where Oasis played two legendary concerts back in 1996.
From feud to reunion
That Oasis are still standing in 2027 was by no means a given. The band was formed in 1991 by Liam Gallagher, who was soon joined by his older brother Noel. With the debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ (1994), the group broke through in Britain; the album grew into one of the best-selling debut records of all time in the United Kingdom. The follow-up ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory’ (1995) far exceeded those sales figures, with worldwide hits such as ‘Wonderwall’ and ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’. Since last year, that album has even overtaken the sales figures of The Beatles’ ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’, a band the Gallagher brothers have openly acknowledged being indebted to.
Over the decades that followed, Oasis scored hit after hit, from ‘Champagne Supernova’ to ‘Lyla’. But the musical successes went hand in hand with a series of conflicts between the brothers, which were widely reported in the media. In August 2009, the row escalated backstage just before a festival performance in Paris, after which Noel decided to leave the band. Liam carried on with Beady Eye, which broke up in 2014, and then went solo. Noel set up his own project, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, with which he released three albums.
For years, a reconciliation between the brothers seemed unthinkable. Yet in August 2024 came the announcement of a reunion tour through, among other places, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States and Asia, which took place in the summer of 2025 and was a huge success. Last week, the documentary ‘Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger’ about that tour premiered and is currently still showing in cinemas.
What’s next
With Oasis Live ’27, Liam and Noel Gallagher are now firmly pressing ahead with their resurgence. The 34 announced shows once again make 2027 a big Oasis year, and proof for fans worldwide that the brothers, despite everything, are once again presenting a united front. With eleven shows, Manchester, the band’s home city, is where Oasis will linger the longest. Glasgow (five shows) and Knebworth (four shows) also play a prominent role in the tour.
