An Evening of Enchantment: André Rieu Weaves Magic in Herning
|
Maxazine attended André Rieu’s concert at Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning, Denmark, on Thursday. Once more, the audience was in awe of Monsieur Rieu’s meticulous attention to detail and flawless performance.

When Emma Kok took the stage to sing, our wish came true. This young child possesses something genuinely remarkable—a determination to endure hardships in life while still providing exquisite entertainment. She performed “Voilà” and “Let It Go” from the Frozen film. She left the audience in tears once more. Such a lovely voice and such an enchanted appearance.

Anna Majchrzak was up next. This woman has an incredibly beautiful voice that should be showcased whenever possible. It is so full of emotion, rich, and strong. However, “You Raise Me Up” wasn’t the right song choice. Her voice was more than capable of handling it, and her operatic tone flowed naturally, but the song—which is typically associated with inspirational ballads or soft pop—clashed awkwardly with the classical delivery. The outcome seemed out of place, like two exquisite components that simply weren’t meant to be together. Although her voice and talent were evident, the song selection hindered rather than helped her.

We got lost in “Libiamo,” and the world around us momentarily stopped moving thanks to the incredible sound of the Platin Tenors. Power, accuracy, and passion are all skillfully blended to create an incredible, harmonious sound.

Everyone had a wonderful night, and the crowd left smiling, with some people still humming “Feuerfest Polka” while swaying their bodies.
