New Version of “Univers” Released

Ahead of the tour, Jane is releasing a new version of the “Heavy Mellow” track “Univers,” which features a dreamlike French translation of the original, breaking through language barriers.

‘”Univers” is my first foray into translating an entire track into French; it took some help and guidance! I imagined the song visually as little vignettes from a film with simple subtitled translations to convey the story. It was inspired by a time in my life when I was carrying the anticipation of grief, yet experiencing small pockets of joy in simple things. These moments appear vivid by comparison; they are spontaneous and unplanned, found in nature and our surroundings, a reminder that everything evolves,’ said Jane Weaver.

“Love In Constant Spectacle”: A New Artistic Vision

“Love In Constant Spectacle” evokes spectacular imagery and distils the artist’s vision in its purest form, elevating her unique sound and poetic expression to new heights. The album recaptures the melancholy of her early work while pushing it forward, sketching scenes as new colours, shapes, and languages emerge and fill the frame. It’s a carefully crafted, dreamlike record that offers solace in life’s inevitability.

Signature Sound with New Collaborations

The foundations of Weaver’s sound are still evident—lush motorik drums, pulsating bass, custom-modified synths, and exotic fuzz pedals. However, the album is also infused with poetic fragments and lullabies that invite lush escapism, evoking the free abandon associated with free jazz and the avant-garde. Despite Weaver’s determined and visionary approach, “Love In Constant Spectacle” wasn’t executed without assistance. The album marks a long-awaited collaboration with Jane’s first-ever producer, John Parish (PJ Harvey, Aldous Harding), who shared in Weaver’s creative process at Rockfield Studios and Geoff Barrow’s Invada Studio.

A Journey into Uncharted Territory

“Love In Constant Spectacle” is a voyage into undisclosed pastures, a heartfelt manifesto from an artist who continues to evolve boundlessly with each chapter in her career.
