Legendary rock band STYX is excited to welcome Terry Gowan as their new bass player. Terry, brother of STYX keyboardist and vocalist Lawrence Gowan, will be stepping in to take over bass duties from Ricky Phillips. As STYX embarks on their tour in the Maritimes and Quebec, fans will get their first chance to see Terry in action. The tour kicks off with shows in Moncton (5/17), Summerside (5/18), Halifax (5/19), Laval (5/21), Trois-Rivières (5/22), Alma (5/24), and Quebec City (5/25).

Opening for all shows is Juno Award winner and bilingual artist David Myles from Fredericton, known for his blend of styles reminiscent of Johnny Cash, JJ Cale, and Buddy Holly.

Starting June 11, STYX will join FOREIGNER and special guest John Waite for the “Renegades & Juke Box Heroes” co-headlining tour produced by Live Nation. Tickets for this tour are available on STYXWorld.com and LiveNation.com.

Terry Gowan shares his excitement about joining the band: “It is an honour and beyond a dream come true to be joining JY, Tommy, Chuck, Will, and my brother Lawrence. Reconnecting with longtime Gowan bandmate Todd and becoming the new bassist for STYX is an incredible journey. Here’s to many years ahead on the Styx adventure!”

Lawrence Gowan expresses his joy at having his brother on board: “I’m very pleased and proud to have my brother, Terry, join STYX. Terry played on four of my six solo Gowan albums, featuring some of the world’s most renowned musicians. It’s great to have him aboard!”

Tommy Shaw exclaims, “We’re all looking forward to the Canadian shows and introducing Terry Gowan as the newest member of STYX! Are you ready to rock? We are too! See you soon!”
