K-pop sensation NCT DREAM released their new album, ISTJ, today via Virgin Music. This project marks the group’s third full-length album. ISTJ is available now on various music sites including iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify and more with the physical album releasing on August 18. 

The album is named after one of the sixteen Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality types, a popular online personality test taken by millions of people each year. ISTJ, the album, is made up of 10 songs, including the album’s title track. “ISTJ,” composed and written by a hit maker “KENZIE,” is a hybrid hip hop, dance piece told in a form of 1st person narrative: ‘I’(ENFP) am confident in my abilities in figuring ‘you’ (ISTJ) out, rather than relying on the stereotypical MBTI (a personality type test),’ making the storytelling all the more interesting.

The group’s latest single, “Broken Melodies,” followed NCT DREAM’s first-ever English single “Beatbox” which was re-released in April – the original version was featured on the group’s second full length repackage album.

Last year, NCT DREAM released their second full album “Glitch Mode”. The album achieved more than two million pre-orders on release day, breaking the record previously held by NCT DREAM’s first album “Hot Sauce” (1.71 million pre-orders).

The 7-member group most recently wrapped their first ever U.S. headline tour which stopped in Newark, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles and Seattle. The U.S. dates were a part of the group’s ‘THE DREAM SHOW2 : In A DREAM’ Tour, which concluded with a run in Latin America this month.

With 5.3M+ monthly Spotify listeners, 11.8M+ Instagram followers, and 9.7M+ Twitter followers, NCT DREAM continues to cement their overwhelming power as a top international act. The group has achieved ‘triple million seller’ status with cumulative sales of their 1^st studio album “Hot Sauce” and its repackage “Hello Future.”.

NCT DREAM is the acronym for “Neo Culture Technology” and DREAM reflects the subgroup’s commitment to releasing music that reflects youth, adolescence and growth. The band made its debut in August 2016 with their debut hit single “Chewing Gum” which peaked at number two on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart. Since, the group has found major commercial success with their 2019 extended play “We Boom” and the release of their first studio album “Hot Sauce,” which surpassed 1.71 million preorders and was named Best Album at the 31^st Seoul Music Awards.
