Arcade Fire announces new World Tour

Arcade Fire

Followed by the overwhelming reception of the singles “The Lightning I, II” and “Unconditional I (Lookout Out)”, Arcade Fire released their sixth album “WE”. The Canadian rock band immediately announces even bigger news with the new album.

The release of “WE” coincides with the announcement of the world tour of the same name in the fall of 2022. After a number of surprising “underplayed” performances in, among others, Toulouse Theater (New Orleans), Bowery Ballroom (New York), the Mojave Tent at Coachella and KOKO (London), the “WE” world tour takes the entire Arcade Fire production to stages worldwide.

William Butler will no longer be there. Frontman Win Butler’s brother left the band just after the band completed the album “WE”. Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury and Jeremy Gara will be there. Whether and who will replace William during the tour is not yet known, as William was no longer there at the concerts of the last few weeks.

The tour kicks off in Dublin on Tuesday, August 30, and concludes with a final show in Toronto on December 1. The North American half of the tour, with special guest Beck, kicks off on October 28, while Europe is treated to performances by special guest Feist.

A few weeks ago, the band made some positive headlines when the band temporarily interrupted a performance at the famous Coachella festival in the United States when Win Butler noticed that a fan at the front of the stage had become unwell. To give the First Aid the rest to help the fan, the band stopped the performance for a while and then continued the set spectacularly. It earned the band a lot of positive reviews in the media.
