Komatsu launches new split-EP at Speedfest 2013

2013 has been a good year for Dutch stoner/sludge band Komatsu, the band from Eindhoven that emerged from the ashes of Repomen and God’s Chosen Dealer.In February 2013 Komatsu released its debut album Manu Armata. It was well received by the press with positive reviews. After a great giggin’ season and some nice support shows for bands as Red Fang, Karma to Burn, Truckfighters and Peter Pan Speedrock, Komatsu is ready to close 2013 in style. On November 23, 2013 this supermassive rock machine will play at Speedfest in their hometown Eindhoven and launche their new split EP, released with the English blues/stoner rockers Desert Storm .

Because of the positive reception and raving reviews of their debut album, Komatsu is gradually but surely becoming an established name within the dutch stoner & sludge scene.The hardworking band have hit the Pop-Ei studios in Eindhoven in october 2013 to record two new songs: the grooving Cast away and the Slo Burn cover July . These songs appear on a split-EP called Nomen est Omen. Desert storm contributed with two songs; Word To The Wiseman and Shadow Of An Eagle (both from the album Horizontal Life) . The EP will only appear on 10 ” vinyl and is released by record label Lighttown Fidelity from Eindhoven-Holland. This record label previously released the vinyl-debut of Komatsu called Manu Armata . Distribution of Nomen est Omen via Suburban Records.

On Saturday, November 23, 2013 Komatsu will present the new split-EP at Speedfest 2013, Klokgebouw Eindhoven. During Speedfest this EP will be available at a special price. Komatsu plays the Wrecker-stage at 14:00 hours. In December 2013, the band will travel to England where they’ll play four shows with Desert Storm to promote Nomen est Omen.
