Marike van Dijk’s new album to be released on February 24

“The Stereography Project” by saxophonist and composer Marike van Dijk will be released in New York, this February 24th, by Brooklyn Jazz Underground Records.

The music on the album “The Stereography Project” is a cinematic mix of jazz, classical and pop and features an ensemble of five instruments, string quartet, jazz rhythm section, and vocals on two compositionss. The band consists of a number of Dutch jazz musicians: Ben van Gelder, Mark Painters and Marike van Dijk. On composition features Ruben Samama as vocalist – which gives it a nice twitch, since Samama is a bass player. The rest of the band consists of a very international group of most talented young musicians – who all live in New York.
