Enter Shikari live in Bremen

After the British band had already delighted their German fans with four larger shows in the spring, Enter Shikari returned to Germany for one last time this year, playing in much smaller venues. It’s no surprise that the Modernes in Bremen was sold out that evening.

This time, they were supported by the Munich-based band Wait of the World, who perfectly warmed up the crowd. In the spring, Enter Shikari had already demonstrated a good sense for their supporting acts by bringing along Fever 333 and the German band Blackout Problems. So, if you haven’t heard of Wait of the World yet, you should definitely check out their debut album ‘idk’, released in 2023.

When Enter Shikari finally took the stage at 9:15 PM and opened their show with ‘Bloodshot’ from their latest album ‘A Kiss for the Whole World’ – by the way, the first album with which the English band cracked the #1 spot in their home country’s charts – there was absolutely no stopping the fans, as expected. The dance floor at Modernes quickly turned into a massive mosh pit, and the first crowd surfers of the evening didn’t take long to appear. The energy couldn’t have been better.

Guitarist Rory Clewlow was particularly close to the audience. He ventured twice into the crowd with his guitar and, towards the end, even couldn’t resist a bit of crowd surfing himself.

Overall, Enter Shikari played 18 songs – a great mix of old classics like ‘Sorry You’re Not a Winner’, ‘Antwerpen’, and newer tracks like ‘goldfish’. Even though everything was smaller and less spectacular than earlier in the year, the typical Enter Shikari combination of an impressive light show and their unique sound was a full success once again that evening.

For every fan, it was probably the perfect chance to experience the band live in a more intimate setting before they – as announced on Instagram – take a break to work on new music. In 2025, they will return to the big festival stages.
