Born in 1964 in New York to a Jewish father and African-American mother, Kravitz grew up in a musical household. Kravitz’s career took off in the late ’80s and skyrocketed with his debut album “Let Love Rule” in 1989. Since then, he has penned an impressive list of hits, including “Are You Gonna Go My Way”, “Fly Away”, and “American Woman”. His latest album, “Blue Electric Light”, is his 12th studio release and has been hailed by critics as one of his best works.
Regarded as one of the most prominent rock musicians of our time, Lenny Kravitz has transcended genre, style, race, and class throughout his over three-decade music career. With a love for soul, rock, and funk influences from the sixties and seventies, the author, producer, and multi-instrumentalist has won four GRAMMY® Awards.
