beabadoobee announces the “Powerlines Tour” across North America, Europe and the UK
beabadoobee will embark on her major “Powerlines Tour” later this year, bringing her to arenas and major concert halls across North America, the United Kingdom and Europe. The tour supports her upcoming album “Pylon”, set for release in September via Dirty Hit and Interscope Records.
Born Beatrice Laus in the Philippines and raised in London, beabadoobee has become one of the defining voices in modern alternative pop and rock. With three studio albums and five EPs, she has built a global audience and accumulated billions of streams. Her 2024 album “This Is How Tomorrow Moves” reached number one in the UK albums chart and marked a major breakthrough in her career.
“Pylon” and a new creative direction
With “Pylon”, beabadoobee explores a more direct and powerful sound than on her earlier releases. The album takes its title from electricity pylons seen along highways and railways, which for the artist symbolize connection to friends and family during long periods on tour.
The record blends influences from 1990s grunge, Midwest emo and alternative rock. Its fourteen tracks were shaped by personal diary entries and emotions that remained unspoken for years. The first single “Sun Has Set” introduces the tone of the new album.
The album features collaborations with several notable artists from the alternative rock scene, including Hayley Williams of Paramore, Brendan Yates of Turnstile, Chino Moreno of Deftones, Evan Stephens Hall of Pinegrove and Shane Moran of Title Fight. Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975 also contributed to the production of “Write Me A Letter”.
Special guest Violet Grohl will join beabadoobee on select dates of the tour.
