Iron Maiden Headlines Copenhell 2026

The dust from this year’s festival has barely settled on the festival grounds’ concrete floor, and the team is already hard at work on Copenhell 2026! 4-day tickets will be available through Ticketmaster starting September 30 at 10:00, and the festival is setting sail in style by presenting next year’s first headliner – Iron Maiden!

Few bands have left as great a mark on the history of metal as these British veterans. Since their beginnings in the East London underground in 1975, the band has grown into one of the world’s biggest metal institutions – a name that millions of fans worldwide associate with grand music, spectacular concerts and a universe brimming with myths, imagery and stories.

With Steve Harris’ galloping bass as its foundation, Bruce Dickinson’s iconic vocals, the distinctive guitar work of Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Janick Gers, and the thunderous drumming of Nicko McBrain (who retired in 2024 and has been replaced on the current tour by Simon Dawson), the band has created a sound that is both instantly recognisable and timeless. Their music draws on everything from classic heavy metal to progressive rock and symphonic elements – always delivered with uncompromising energy and songs that feel both monumental and deeply personal.

Iron Maiden is not just a band – they are a cultural phenomenon. Their mascot, Eddie, has graced album covers and stages for nearly five decades and has become an icon in his own right. The concerts are legendary: gigantic stage productions, complex light and video setups and an energy that proves that the band is still at the top of their game, no matter where in the world they play – most recently here in Denmark, where they completely brought down Royal Arena last June with one of their best-ever shows on Danish soil. Their audience spans generations, from fans who were headbanging in London’s legendary Cart & Horses pub in the ’70s, and those who stood in the field at Donington Park in 1988, to new listeners discovering the band through streaming and social media today.

With releases such as “The Number of the Beast”, “Powerslave”, “Seventh Son of A Seventh Son”, and more recent works like “The Book of Souls” and “Senjutsu”, Iron Maiden have proven that they don’t simply live off the past – they constantly reinvent themselves without ever compromising their identity. Their lyrics range from historical battlefields and classic literary works to science fiction and political commentary. This is music that speaks to the heart, the mind and pure adrenaline!

Copenhell is very proud to welcome the brave Brits back to the festival. The band’s ongoing “Run For Your Lives” tour will continue into 2026, focusing on their earliest releases, so audiences can look forward to a deep dive into a back catalogue bursting with both colossal hits and cult classics. It will be a grand musical ritual with a fearless, immortal band that embodies the very essence of heavy metal.

Bring Me The Horizon, Alice Cooper, Anthrax, The Pretty Reckless, Neckbreakker, and many more join Iron Maiden at next year’s festival.
