REO Speedwagon to Stop After 50 Years

The American rock band REO Speedwagon will soon call it quits after 57 years together. The band’s decision to stop is due to “irreconcilable differences” between lead singer Kevin Cronin and bassist Bruce Hall. Hall, who had taken a year off due to health issues, wanted to rejoin the band. However, according to the band’s Instagram account, he wasn’t yet ready to return. His spot had been filled by Matt Bissonette, which created tension between Cronin and Hall. As a result, the band has decided to pull the plug at the end of the year.

The band was formed in 1967 in Champaign, Illinois. During the 1970s and 1980s, they scored hits such as “Keep On Loving You,” “Don’t Let Him Go,” “Take It on the Run,” and “Can’t Fight This Feeling.” In 2020, the band appeared in the Netflix series Ozark.

The band is touring the United States, and the tour will be completed as scheduled. Their final concert will take place in Las Vegas on December 21.
