Burna Boy Set to Make His Romania Debut at UNTOLD Festival

UNTOLD Festival has announced Nigerian music sensation Burna Boy as one of their headliners and welcomes him for his first-ever performance in Romania. The festival, known for attracting top-tier international talent, runs from August 8th to 11th in Cluj-Napoca.

Burna Boy is a prominent figure in the Afrobeat genre and has gained worldwide acclaim for his innovative sound that blends dancehall, reggae, Afrobeat and pop. Recently named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world for 2024, Burna Boy’s influence on the global music scene is undeniable.

His journey to stardom began with his 2013 debut album “L.I.F.E,” but it was the 2018 release “Outside” that brought him international recognition, reaching number three on the Billboard Reggae chart. In 2019, he won the BET Award for “Best International Act” and was highlighted by Apple Music as an “Up Next Artist.” His subsequent album “African Giant” earned a Grammy nomination, and in 2021, he won a Grammy for “Twice as Tall.”

Burna Boy’s collaborations include a roster of renowned artists such as Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, and Beyoncé. His 2022 album “Love, Damini” featured the hit single “Last, Last,” which achieved Platinum and Diamond certifications. Last year, he performed to a sold-out crowd of 60,000 at London Stadium, further cementing his global appeal.

The UNTOLD Festival’s lineup also boasts big names like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix and Black Coffee, ensuring a diverse and exciting array of performances. Organizers expect hundreds of thousands of fans to attend, making it one of the major events of the summer.
