Sziget announces Justin Bieber, Tame Impala and Calvin Harris
More than five months before the Óbuda Island in Budapest is again transformed into The Island Of Freedom, Sziget Festival drops a load of new names. Justin Bieber, Tame Impala and Calvin Harris will headline the Hungarian festival alongside Arctic Monkeys, Dua Lipa and Kings Of Leon. Kensington, Sam Fender, Anne-Marie, Nina Kraviz and Steve Aoki also grace the line-up. Sziget will take place this summer from 10 to 15 August in the heart of Budapest.
Canadian superstar Justin Bieber will be at Sziget as part of his Justice World Tour, making it one of six headliners. Tame Impala, the Australian band around Kevin Parker, will also travel to Budapest this year and join the headliners together with DJ and producer Calvin Harris. With previously confirmed artists Arctic Monkeys, Kings Of Leon and Dua Lipa, these acts top the Sziget poster this year.
The Hungarian festival reveals many more names. British pop sensation Anne-Marie makes her appearance on the Main Stage. The promising talents Sam Fender, Holly Humberstone and Alfie Templeman also come from Great Britain. We can expect a sensational dance show from the American DJ Steve Aoki and the German duo Milky Chance, known for the hit ‘Stolen Dance’, will also be at the Hungarian festival.
The first names have also been announced for the legendary Colosseum stage, which will be completely renovated this year. Russian DJ and producer Nina Kraviz makes her appearance and she doesn’t do it alone. She will be next to the Danish producer Kölsch and the American DJ Seth Troxler.
In addition to the greatest artists and bands, the versatile Sziget also offers an extensive side program every year, with (street) theatre, dance, film, circus, sports and art. Located in the heart of Budapest, The Island Of Freedom attracts nearly half a million visitors from over 100 nationalities each year. Love, acceptance, freedom, diversity and tolerance are the main pillars of the Hungarian festival.
