RPM Fest Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Explosive Lineup

RPM Fest marks a decade of heavy music mayhem with a stellar lineup for 2024, featuring headliners Prong, Jasta, Misery Index, and Bongzilla. This year’s event promises to be the biggest and most electrifying yet, running from August 30th to September 1st at the Millers Falls Rod and Gun Club in Montague, Massachusetts, USA.

Headliners Take Center Stage

New York City’s Prong leads the charge, riding high from their recent release, “Stage of Emergency,” and a successful co-headlining tour with Voivod. Jasta, the solo project of Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta, recently dropped his fourth album, “And Jasta For All…,” featuring metal titans like Chuck Billy (Testament), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Steve “Zetro” Souza (Exodus), and Phil Demmel (ex-Machine Head). Misery Index is hard at work on their eighth album, slated for a fall release via Century Media, while Bongzilla is touring in support of their latest record, “Dabbing Live Rosin in Europe.”

Supporting Acts and More

The festival’s lineup is rounded out with an impressive roster of supporting acts, including Deceased, Belushi Speed Ball, Castle Rat, Tower, Leather Lung, Thy Will Be Done, Mother Iron Horse, Persekutor, Rig Time!, and more.

Beyond the Music

RPM Fest isn’t just about music; it’s a full-blown entertainment extravaganza. Saturday night features a post-show wrestling spectacle from Kaiju Big Battel, where city-crushing monsters wreak havoc and delight the crowd. Sunday night closes the fest with intense matches from Pro Wrestling Grind, ensuring a hard-hitting end to the weekend.

A Festival with Deep Roots

What began as a DIY backyard gathering celebrating the Western Mass music scene has grown into a highly anticipated event for fans of underground heavy music and culture. Co-founders John Gulow and Brian Westbrook credit the festival’s success to grassroots promotion and a strong sense of community. “This festival wouldn’t be possible anywhere else,” says Westbrook. “Western Mass is a relatively rural area, but we have an incredible, tight-knit community of musicians and fans that make this festival thrive. The entire fest is volunteer-run, with substantial support from local businesses and vendors.”

More Than Just Music

RPM Fest offers more than 40 rock, punk, and metal bands. Attendees can also enjoy post-show entertainment, including professional wrestling, burlesque performances, heavy metal trivia, and karaoke. The festival hosts a vendor market and artist alley, featuring crafters, sculptors, painters, and other creatives showcasing alternative, dark, and macabre art.
