Céline Dion has officially announced her return to the concert stage on her 58th birthday, 30 March 2026. The Canadian singer will perform ten evenings this autumn at the Paris La Défense Arena, the largest indoor concert venue in Europe.

The announcement unfolded as befits a pop star of her stature: with a sense of theatre. Paris set the stage with mysterious displays. On 23 March, 250 large posters appeared across the city featuring titles of her best-known songs, such as ‘Pour que tu m’aimes encore’ and ‘The Power of Love’. Days later, the Eiffel Tower lit up with the words ‘Céline Dion’ and ‘Paris, I’m ready’, and France Télévisions announced a broadcast directly linked to her name. On her birthday came the confirmation: an emotional video message broadcast at the Eiffel Tower. ‘Over the last few years, every day that’s gone by, I’ve felt your prayers and support’, she said. ‘This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life… I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September!’

The series spans ten dates over five weeks: 12, 16, 19, 23, 26 and 30 September and 3, 7, 10 and 14 October 2026, always on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Paris La Défense Arena. The venue has a capacity of over 40,000 and in recent years has hosted, among others, Taylor Swift and The Rolling Stones. The scenography is in the hands of award-winning show designer Willo Perron, and the programme will feature her most beloved songs in both French and English.

The return is all the more remarkable as Dion has faced a serious battle in recent years. In 2022, she was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological and autoimmune disease that causes muscle stiffness and severely affects both walking and singing. Her struggle was documented in the film ‘I Am: Celine Dion’ from 2024. The first sign that recovery might be possible came during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris in July 2024, when she performed ‘L’Hymne à l’Amour’ at the Eiffel Tower. A one-off performance, but powerful enough to reignite hope among millions of fans.

The Paris La Défense Arena was originally due to host Dion in 2020 as part of her “Courage World Tour”. The concerts were first postponed due to the pandemic and later definitively cancelled because of her health. Her last major solo concert dates back to spring 2020 in New York. Six years later, the circle closes once again, coincidentally in Paris. Whether additional European dates outside Paris will follow has not yet been confirmed.
