Clifford Adams dies at 62

Clifford AdamsWe have to announce the sad news that trombone player Clifford Adams has passed away. He succumbed to hepatic cancer. Adams gained popularity as the trombone player of Kool and the Gang. He was on a waiting list to undergo a liver transplant. The high costs of the transplant prevented it for ever happening.

Vriend, familie and fans have tried for a long time to raise the money for the expensive operation, but after a year, Adams lost the unfair battle.

Besides Kool and the Gang, Clifford worked with Patti LaBelle, Duke Ellington and The Stylistics. He released two solo albums and had his own trombone-line.

Clifford Adams was 62 years old.
